1. Overview
Welcome to DynamicWalls, a live wallpaper utility designed exclusively for macOS. DynamicWalls lets you browse, preview, and set video-based wallpapers on your Mac.
Your privacy is paramount. This Policy is based on the principle of privacy by design, ensuring that data collection within the App is strictly limited to what is necessary for license verification and security. DynamicWalls does not collect or transmit usage data, telemetry, or analytics related to your activities within the App. Website tracking is described separately in Section 5 below. By using the App or website, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Information We Collect and Purpose
The information collected by the App relates to licensing and access management.
License Identifier (Customer ID): This ID is generated by our payment processor, Paddle, upon purchase. Its sole purpose is to identify you as a purchaser and verify the validity of your license status. It is stored in a secure, private database.
Device Identifier (Unique Hardware ID): This hardware identifier of your Mac is used to associate the license with one specific device for license enforcement. It is stored in a secure, private database and mapped to your License Identifier.
Transaction Information: Information such as your email address and payment method is collected and processed by Paddle to complete the purchase and send your receipt. We do not store or process your payment-card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
The licensing information we collect is used exclusively for:
- License Validation: Verifying your status as a paid user during initial activation and periodic license checks.
- Access Management: Ensuring continuous access to the full features of the App on your authorized device.
4. Third-Party Services Involved
Paddle: Manages purchase transactions and securely transfers your License Identifier to our server after a successful payment.
License Verification Server: Handles secure communication to verify your license status.
Update Server: Hosts update files delivered through Sparkle. This service does not interact with personal data.
5. Website Analytics and X Pixel
Our website uses the X Pixel, provided by X Corp., to measure visits to the landing page and actions such as copying the installation command. The X Pixel may store or access cookies and process information about your browser, device, visit, and interaction with the website for conversion measurement and advertising purposes.
You can limit or block cookies through your browser settings and manage personalized-ad settings through your X account. Blocking the X Pixel does not prevent you from using the website or copying the installation command.
6. Data Security and Transmission
Your License Identifier is stored locally on your Mac to avoid repetitive manual entry. Data transmission between the App and our verification server is encrypted and occurs only for license checks.
7. Your Rights and Data Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of data held by us, subject to applicable law. To request permanent deletion, contact us using the information in Section 9.
8. Device Deactivation
You can select Deactivate This Device in settings. This removes the association between your license and device locally and on our server, freeing the license slot for a new device.
